Intrinsically-Safe Two-way Radios

We offer two way radios that are powerful and built for durability. Our Radios are Intrinsically Safe (IS), offering the best protection in a volatile, hazardous chemical or gaseous atmosphere. They include 1-25 watts of transmit power, support for 16 channels and 6 programmable function keys. Channel scan and monitor functions are also supported. These professional radios offer a great value and provide a high level of performance and reliability in dangerous environments. All our Radios are designed for safe operation in explosive atmospheres. They are Intrinsically Safe which ensures that the electrical and thermal energy of the radio is low enough that ignition of the hazardous atmosphere cannot occur. Other two-way radios contain equipment that can create internal tiny sparks and such sparks can ignite flammable substances present in the air. We meet the requirement set forth in ANSI/UL 913 6th Edition for Class 1, Division 1, Groups A-D; Class II, Groups E-G; and Class III for hazardous locations. Some of the features comes equipped with a 8-character LCD screen, 4 extra function keys and 16 built in DTMF keypad. The 6 function keys can be customized via programming to meet your communications/network requirements. They requires frequencies to be programmed prior to shipment. If specific frequencies are not requested, we will be programmed with frequencies comparable to the Motorola RDU 4100/4160, Vertex ect.. Place your specific frequencies or functions request in the Comments field and we will program your radio prior to shipment. They come standard with an 7.2 V 1100mAh Nickel-Cadmium battery Intrinsically Safe version. A rapid battery charger also comes standard. Need headsets or extra chargers? A full line of accessories are available for our radios, including: rapid chargers, high capacity batteries, shoulder mics, and option boards. Also equipped with an option port that expands the versatility of the radio. Functions such as simple inversion or rolling code encryption, DTMF paging decoder and Digital Voice Storage are only accessible through the installation of optional boards. For your convenience, expansion boards can be purchased through us. Both in UHF/VHF radio operates on UHF/VHF frequencies which is better suited for inside steel or concrete structures.
